Independence Day Greetings! A series of events and workshops are being planned in Mumbai in association with different institutions and groups.

24 and 25 August 2013 (Saturday and Sunday):

A two day workshop on FOSS is being organised at VJTI college (10AM-5PM) -- Opening address (10AM) 15 mins -- Free software philosophy 20 mins followed by Q&A -- Installation session -- Lunch -- Tutorials: 45mins per session for the rest of the day plus day two (Need resource people for GCC, GIMP, basic office tools, inkscape, etc)

26 August 2013 (Monday):

Session at Vidyalankar institute of technology, Wadala on 26 August 4.45pm to 6.45pm -- Free software philosophy 20 mins followed by Q&A -- demo of some tools like GCC/Blender/Inkscape etc based on availability of time (resource people needed)

07 September 2013 (Saturday):

Crypto-party at VJTI

23 September 2013 (Monday):

Sophia College is organising a seminar on digital surveillance. This is a joint event with Free Software Movement of India (FSMI) of which FSMM is a part. The seminar is being organised by Mr. P. Sainath and Mr. Roy Neville Singham, Chairman of Thoughtworks, is the keynote speaker.
